Federal Golf Club development – traffic implications

 

DRA is concerned that the proposal will lead to even more pressure on parking at Deakin shops and extra traffic in our suburb? Noting that Garran shops are  twice as close to the proposal as Deakin, and the need to avoid Brereton St and Gowrie Drive becoming a ‘rat run’, can an access management be implemented at the site in the figure to share the burden with Garran?
Also, will the injection of funds from the sale of the land to the developer solve the Club’s financial problems in the longer term?
