PUBLIC MEETING – Wednesday 16 August 2017

 You are invited to come to hear information, put your questions and express your view and discuss two major proposed developments in Deakin:

  • Eight ‘supportive housing’ units on
    St Luke’s Church site, Newdegate Street (Block 1 Section 30 Deakin)
  • 90 bed residential aged care accommodation, 12 assisted living units, plus 40 seniors respite places on
    the Art Gallery site, 38 Grey Street (Block 13 Section 49  Deakin) 

Meeting 6.30pm-8.30pm, Wednesday 16th August, Canberra Bridge Club, Duff Place, Deakin.

 Presentations will be made on the proposals and written material and plans will be available on the night.

The DRA has been advised that the following representatives will present at the public meeting:

On the St. Luke’s Church site redevelopment:

  • Purdon Planning: Rob Purdon
  • COX Architecture: Belinda Barnes
  • Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn: Trevor Ament

On the Grey Street site/Provectus development:  

  • Purdon Planning: Rob Purdon
  • AMC Architects: Alastair MacCallum
  • Sellick Consultants: Bernie Cusack

On 26 July the Deakin Residents’ Association Committee met with Purdon Planning about the two proposed developments. The DRA Committee asked a number of questions which we expected would be relevant for residents.
