Digital TV Retuning after 20 November

The Australian Communications Authority has circulated the following information for residents of Canberra receiving their TV from Black Mountain tower – this includes most Deakin Residents:

As the final step in Australia’s move to digital-only TV, free-to-air channels ABC and SBS will change frequencies in Canberra, Queanbeyan and surrounds on 20 November. After the channels have changed, you will need to retune your digital TV, set-top box or digital TV recorder to find the channels that have moved.
If you are missing a channel on or after Canberra’s retune date of 20 November, you should retune to ensure you continue to receive all available free-to-air digital channels.
Retuning is simple – for most systems press the “menu” button on the remote and follow the prompts to retune. If you have difficulty retuning you should refer to the manufacturer’s handbook, ask a friend or family member for help, visit the Digital Ready website, www.digitalready.gov.au/retune or call the Digital Ready Information Line 1800 20 10 13 from 8am to 10pm (AEDT), 7 days.
